Wow! Freedom!
That was the first feeling I had when I tried our Cascade cart from Huckleberry Hiking for the first time together with my son Malte, 9 years old.
Malte has a genetic disorder called ataxia telangiectasia (A-T), which affects his motor skills and balance. On a daily basis, he uses a walker and a wheelchair for longer distances. Malte’s disability has made it difficult for us to get out into nature. We're an active family that loves being outdoors all year round. We are often out cooking in the forest or picking mushrooms and berries. But in the forest and mountains, it’s tough to manage with a wheelchair—especially during the Swedish winter when we can get a lot of snow.

The Cascade cart from Huckleberry Hiking has completely changed that. Finally, the whole family can get out into nature together and feel the freedom of leaving the beaten path and going on an adventure.
It took a little time to get used to being the sherpa, but once I got the hang of it, the cart felt like a natural extension of my body.
We are now trying to get our municipality to purchase a Cascade cart so that more people can experience the same freedom we have.
Kind regards.
